While there were some new faces atop the Class AA state cross country victory stand in 2007, the team names stayed the same - Yankton and Roosevelt - in both the boys and girls divisions. The Bucks/Gazelles and Rough Riders have finished 1-2 the past two years - and for the Rider girls, it was their fourth straight runner-up finish. This year, Yankton's teams may claim more hardware. But Rapid City Stevens, Roosevelt, Pierre and Lincoln look to challenge for the boys title. On the girls side, the Riders join Brandon Valley and Sturgis as teams that could make noise in their pursuit of the Gazelles.
