At the start of the season, the standings meant little. So when the Twins lost, we graded them according to the worthiness of their effort. How did they lose? And potentially, what does this loss hint at in regard to a long season? Months later, the Twins have a 77-63 record and are 1.5 games out of first place in the American League Central Division. Curiously, what was true in April is still true with 22 games to go. It's not so much that the Twins are slipping behind, it's the way they're doing it.
